Our back panels for metal shelving are made up of 24 gauge cold rolled steel with two outer edges and the center can be punched with 5/16" holes in 1" centers that run vertically making is easy for assembly to back posts. The center row is used to attach the rear of the shelf using back clips. Back panels are used for closed type shelving units.
